No, I'm one of the people who actually supports the artists, and has spent every penny he's ever had in his life on doing so. For the past 15 years I've been doing this, and I'll carry on doing it for the rest of my life. That makes me entitled to an opinion, and after doing a lot of online work too for labels & artists, it's shown me many things, the first of it being that this industry has gone tits up. There are people like John 00 Fleming, Mark EG & Many others who have done so much for music for upto 20 years in some cases, and you know what? They're great people, they are polite, courteous & by extending that courtesy, they get it back. Then we have those people who're newer, take yourself, santiago nino, dave dresden as examples. You've not contributed anywhere near as much as those people yet you put it upon yourself to be a complete & utter fucktard to the people who make you what you are, simply because they don't agree with something you do. You have no right to come on this site & attack someone like Haak who has supported artists for a long time & released many good productions, also being competent as a DJ just because the 'thing' you make is the latest cool thing. People like you are a cancer on the industry and completely & utterly worthless. You love taking the praise but you can't take anything that isn't that. I really hope you crash & burn and end up back in the supermarket, mopping those floors like the scum you really are. Take a leaf out of the book of people like joof, miika kuisma, shokk/flutlicht, dumonde, plastic angel, ralphie b, signum, rank 1 and all those others who've participated here with no sense of being better, and helped us learn, educated us & shared experiences with us. I'd take that type of person over you anyday. |
Hello Ian. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
There is this expanding attitude among some of the ancient members of the forum. I am not going to call them “elitists” but much better “ancient” members.
It is clear that a normal process for achieving common wealth consists in: first I give respect, then I receive respect, I give respect, I receive respect, and the cycle continues.
But I am not able to understand the purpose behind the process used by the ancient members. I am going to say this because I am sure it is what happens and I have seen it many many times. It is a process, unnecessary imo, where this happens: first I give disrespect, and then if I receive respect, then I do give respect, I receive respect, and the cycle continues. But if I first give disrespect, and then I receive disrespect (which unfortunately is normal on human nature), then there is no cycle of wealth: the group of ancient members simply joins against the victim, attacking it and forcing it to leave the forum and leaving its image on the floor.
That kind of “test”, unnecessary imo, is exactly what happened once again in this thread. The ancient members provoked the fury of Steve Angelo by degrading his work, he responds by defending and attacking back, and then the ancients joined against him by degrading his work even more, and making him looks guilty of starting the problem. Only when Steve showed them some respect, then he started to be accepted by them.
I find unnecessary that attitude. Until certain point it is reasonable, but why not simply treat everyone the same from the start? Noob, ancient, legend, bedroom dj, we all have something useful to contribute. If we first give respect, then we will surely receive respect.
