drinking alcohol doesn't equate to spending a lot. like most things you could spend a lot or not it mostly depends on quality and where you buy it.

To save try buying a big bottle of Devil's Springs Vodka. They're only around $20 or so. Keep it at home and whenever you wanna go out, drink half a bottle of soda, then fill the empty half with Springs and you're straight for the rest of the night!
Should last quite a few outings before you run out.

like i get a lil 10 dolla bottle of somethin and just do shots and mixed drinks it gets a pretty good buzz then threw out the night id say i have 1 drink per hour
so maybe like $40 a night i spend
