I think I am finally moving to the Dark side.. All Digital
There are just so many killer tunes that are coming out right now that you cannot find on vinyl (at least not yet).
I am still a fan of vinyl don't get me wrong, but to stay on top of what is new, and unique..
Anyone feel me on this?
Going Digital just gives you more options these days. Nothing wrong with combining vinyl and cds and even mp3's. That's why they got 4 channel mixers.
Btw, props to the last mix you posted. I totally dig it.

Thank you!
Yeah I most def try to make a point of at least throwing one or two vinyl tracks in my sets.
Also I have been able to take songs with extremely long dragged out break downs or just parts I do not like and edit them digitally so they have a minimal break down. (Don't get me wrong I am not a producer and I do respect the fact that artist put time and heart into their productions.)
Like Spell by Second sun. Great song but the break down is horrible.
I re-edited it with a friend so that it is not so long.. Now the song really kicks ass and no one leaves the dance floor when it breaks.

i started using cd's because i found that i could be more creative with my mixing, plus if i scratch a track i can just burn another copy but when someone asks me advive about getting into djing a always tell them to start with vinyl. it makes for a good foundation!
