man i tried so many ways last night to make it easy for myself...spent 3 hours importing and exporting from max to formz, sketchup to max to formz, skethcup to cad to formz, etc....didn't find an easy way.

today went and found an unfolding plugin for sketchup...WIN! still a lot of work but it's much easier now. took me 2 hours just design, build, and unfold an eye.

i have v5.5 and no it doesn't import SKP file. i had to export as dwg and 3ds for it to open in formz.

he actually watns a DWG file with the correct color coding for cut etch and burn. basically we can do this project anyway we want.
formz has a nice unfolding tool thats quick, but trying to model in there is a pain. i tried to unfold in max as well but it takes a bit more steps and then the unfolded shape doesn't unfold correctly for some reason. he even said if you're understand how shit goes together, you can just draw it in cad.
