How long ago have you done that laser treatment butterfly? |
i have only had one treatment so far, so I cannot garuntee the long term effects. after 1 one month, my legs are still smoother than they would have been 1 hour after shaving previous to the treatment.
basic info on laser treatment, for those who care:
it is possible that the hair can grow back. The treatment works because the pigment in your hair aborbs the energy from the laser. the reason it can hurt is because energy = heat = pain. that is why it is not effective for all people. it is ideal for someone with dark hair (lots of pigment to absorb energy and kill follicles) and light skin (little pigment so the energy stays mainly focused on the follicles). IF THE HAIR GROWS BACK IT WILL BE LIGHTER AND THINNER. you can have it zapped again but the treatment will be less likely to be effective because there is now less pigment to target in those hairs.
they need to do multiple treatments because hair grows in cyles. you have active follicles that grow hair and passive ones that will grow hair later.
this treatment is relatively new compared to electrolysis or waxing, but has been used in my area for 5+ years now. in the past two years, the technology and equipment has improved dramatically. (FYI electrolysis is not permanent and far more painful, or so i'm told)
don't think there aren't risks but in my case i am willing to take them. if you saw my legs before, you would agree with me.
