It looks like the community got wind of the poll in the last hour;
It's making me more aware of the issue 48%
It's turning me off issue due to local traffic disruptions 49%
Undecided 3%

You swear on Richmond St and they beat your ass. Block major roads and highways? No problem from the police and Liberal leaders will pander to you!
Only in Can-a-DUH!
yes. this is all a liberal problem.
if you didn't sound like a right-wing broken record so much, your actually sensible points would likely resonate more with people... it's a shame because you make sense a lot of the time.

Ignatieff's response is to meet with the tamils. Mcguinty has expressed "sympathy" for them.
Where is the condemnation? To be honest I am shocked that the wimpiest of them all, Miller, actually did condemn the gardiner blockade.
If the conservatives came out with this drivel id be slamming them too. Just as I am disappointed that Harper has morphed into a Red Tory or worse! But thats a whole other thread!

yes, i think that the Tamils are deluded if they think that canada will help them in their cause. they have a known association to terrorist activity and the people of toronto will not be sympathetic to their cause after this.
i work right at college and university, i had to go into work several times over the weekend to check on my experiments and i missed time points and got a parking ticket because i couldn't get to my parking spot. i hate this. these people are not winning any favors with me. i am concerned about going into work this week.
the worst part about it is that i heard that they are using a shield of young 14-16 year old girls to surround the adults so that police would not want to hurt the children. that is lame.
What did you expect, primitive people, primitive thinking. They really believe that the government gives two shits about their cause. I mean, its not nice what is happening over there. Violence is never right, but these stinky bastards need to protest for the right reasons.

Unless it directly affects you..i.e. you were stuck in traffic..i don't see why you have any right to spew hate..but it's not really a need is it? More like a deep seeded want..
I really couldn't care less..people have a right to protest..and ya, maybe they're idiots for going on the Gardiner..and maybe if i was stuck in traffic, i would be annoyed..but than again...it would be just another day in my life of commuting..
It just scares me how many people out there are just ready to spring into action to let the inner bigot out...
I refuse to believe that people are this traumatized because there was a protest that closed a major highway..give me a break.

I actually was on the Gardiner right before the Spadina exit as this happened. I was stuck on there for about 45 minutes before I decided to turn around and drive the wrong way on the Gardiner and get off on Jameson. I passed by two cops and they were sympathetic and were like get off on Jameson.
Had I not done this I would have been stuck for 5 hours. It is absolutely ridiculous that the police allowed them to access the Gardiner and affect traffic in this way especially on Mother's day. Protests done peacefully are legal but barring a major highway should have led to many arrests. These people had children on the Gardiner and they are very lucky that a riot from all of the people stuck in their cars did not break out. Had this been the states I'm sure it would not have ended peacefully. I might have been sympathetic to their cause had they not taken measures to affect our daily lives but sorry, not happening any more.
I did take some cool pictures though
