and yeah, that's what mainly made me buy cdjs and a mixer. beatgridding ,warping and whatnot on traktor and ableton felt like a tedious chore to do with every track. that and mixing with software only just feels soulless to me.

1. Traktor doesn't normally do that for me, this was the only time I had ever seen it happen.
2. How is it soulless? If you didn't know I made it in Traktor, would you have been able to tell a difference?

btw what remix of tiesto - sparkles is that?

The Original Version. I didn't get it from Discogs, but this is the CD.

I appreciate your dick comment, but even vinyls and CDJ's aren't perfect. If you would read the thread you would notice Nukeuz has turntables that change speed, I'm pretty sure it would be easy to trainwreck with that kind of shit happening. Next time you have a degrading comment, read the fucking thread. Or alternatively, do better.

who says they are? And nukleuz himself admitted that they were shit turntables. In any medium (which works perfectly fine) trance is one of the easiest genres to mix. I assume you didn't test the tracks beforehand because if you did, then you probably would know whatever problem you had. And don't pull the 'I have a life' card. It takes like 20 minutes to see whether beatgrids are aligned.

I don't know why you would submit a set with 2 trainwrecks on software mixing. That's all I'm saying.

Uh, for your information, I did test the tracks beforehand, but didn't know how to fix the beatgrid problem, so I had to TRY MY BEST with what I knew how to do, which was manually adjust the beatgrid. Look, if all you're going to do is bash my mix, don't fucking listen to it, and get the hell out of this thread. I've never seen you post a mix before, so don't try to act like you can do any better.

I posted the mix even though it had two bad transitions, because hey, I'm a fucking human, and I make mistakes. Sorry if you disapprove of my music, but I don't see the need to sit here and attack my entry like I'm trying to change the god damn world or something. Do better than me, or get the fuck out. That simple.

so tranceowns...where is your mix?

i don't think i am able to listen to the trance mix (i8 just can't sit through these tracks anymore), but people have to remember that classics for people a lot younger than yourself might not always be the same thing.

fattie

Eh, I didn't start listening to trance till around when these were released, and even then I didn't dive into the really old stuff. I don't see that as a bad thing, honestly.

Btw, how was that $600 dollar burger, Jay?

I listened to your mix. I don't see where you get this idea that i'm trying to attack you when all I made was a facetious comment about how you trainwrecked. In fact I was just expressing how I was glad that I am mixing on actual gear rather than software. Then you got all defensive. I hope you take this lightheartedly coz I know it's not your fault your software fucked up.

I said I liked the tracks didn't I, I never disapproved anything about your music.

I've always wanted to post my mixes but I just couldn't spare the money to buy a recorder. Since for the past 6 months I've been saving up for nice clothes and an expensive watch, since I have other priorities than proving to a bunch of people online that I can mix, (just kidding ). I'll post a mix up when I get a recording device. I have a xone 92, CDJ 400s and sennheiser hd 25 if you're curious.

Just understand that it's hard to look back and take your comment as facetious, I saw it as a rather distasteful way to express the fact that you didn't approve of software mixing. I find Traktor to be very easy to use and it normally works quite well, plus I enjoy the fact that my VCI-100, Portable Harddrive, and Numark Soundcard takes up way less space than a big mixer, two turntables, and a giant box of vinyls. I came sorta late into the DJ game, so forgive me for not spinning like an old school DJ would.

I appreciate that you liked my music, I just think you could have found a better time/place to argue about Traktor vs. CDJ's/Vinyls.

Sorry for getting defensive.

that is a load of bollocks.. trance isnt ultra difficult to mix, but it certainly isnt easy.. blending of melodies is not an easy task... or maybe it is.. but the blending of 2 fitting melodies as part of a nicely flowing set is NOT easy, or atleast it is not one of the easiest styles to mix.

anyways cut the guy some slack.. he did his mix. im a DJ of 14 years and i didnt submit mine because of problems. granted i have shit decks that have a mind of their own.. and traktor is no different.. i assume you have tried traktor too?... i have and im only too familiar with the problem that ziptnif had see my italo mix from the first competition for details
