YES! Apparently it doesnt run too good on Macs, but thats why i dont have MAc. . Ive been trying to get a demo version to this cause i dont want to cough up 450 bucks for something im not happy with. If its good itll solve my problem of which synth to buy- buy the Nord Lead 3 and soft version of the Access

I just want to mention something about pads and evolving atmospheres here...
there has been a lot of talk about Spectrasonic Atmosphere module which I have and it's nice but it was expensive. I am into sound design. I like to create atmospheres. I have NI's Absynth and let me just say to any of you who are into synth programming and atmospheres, don't waste your money on Atmosphere. Get Absynth. With Absynth you have full synthesis and NO samples like Atmosphere so everything is organic. However, if want to use some samples it can even load them too! If you run two instances of Absynth you have virtually what Atmosphere is when running a DUAL patch except with Absynth you have entire control over all sythesis down to each patches 6 Oscillators. Absynth 3 soon to come also has a 'unison' function on each osc which will make it the bomb for HUGE trance leads! Can't wait.
Synth 1 ist imho the best freebie, followed by free alpha

This thread is embarrassing - you have to search through its 14 pages to find any of the newer VSTs, and the original post is extremly outdated & many of the pics don't work.
Is my thread going to replace this one or did I waste 4 hours of my time?
