My friend and I arrived at around 10:00 (which is when my print ticket said the show started). I had also seen 9:00pm as a start time which was seriously confusing.
Not the venue's fault but I did find a huge lack of actual information on the Tiesto site/ site to purchase tickets from. I also saw the $10 dollar parking fee and had to actually leave, hit the bank, then come back when I found out it was $20 because I rarely ever carry cash.
My friend and I waited until 2:00am and never got in. My experience was fruitless. While I didn't see any bottle thrown at the window, tear gas inside the building, Liquid/Opera or whatever screwing up the venue, all I know is that it didn't seem so smooth and that I paid $20 for parking and $45+ tax for each of 2 tickets and I never so much as touched the building.
If Liquid is the only person/company/authority willing to take responsibility for it then cheers to you. At least someone will honor the fact that 500-1000 people didn't get inside.
I'm not going to wine about it though for days. I've never seen him live and wanted to for 10 years. I missed it and it was a mess. No single handed person to blame.
The money back is the main thing.
The experience lost is the second thing.
There will always be another event. This one is over and gone.
Thanks for taking responsibility Liquid.
PS: No matter how much experience a company has, how many times anyone has managed an event regardless of huge or small (crowd wise) no one can know what any 1 idiot will do to ruin something for everyone else.
Went home that night, had a beer, went to sleep. Tiesto will come back to town I don't doubt.
