In my experience....and correct me if I am wrong.....There will be events for 18+ but you will not find big names. If you read the events for the "WMC Badge" holders, once they are posted, you will see they are like mixers. They are held in hotel lobby's and by some of the small hotel pools. These parties are not the surfcomber pool parties or events with big names in any of the big clubs.

I have found that these parties are usually pretty empty. Alot of noobs who are just trying to get their bang for the buck and having the coolness of showing the badge (lol!) Hence why alot of us feel that the badge is really if you are going to attend the workshops.

i agree ... if you going to the actual conference and work shops getting the badge might be worth it

so 24-29? what airport are u flying from? and flying to either MIA, or FLL should help to find a cheaper flight.....my suggesting would be to just keep checking on a weekly basis

EDIT......DCA to FLL 203 right now on Spirit

Tomorrow is the last day for the badge being $235 what do you guys think?

Yeah plan to for sure, want to spend no more than 280 on plane tickets.

leaving BWI I live about 10 minutes away, want to fly in to MIA airport only.

I was going to get it, but backed out due to not wanting to go to workshops or those type of events.

But now the UMF tickets (140+fees=180)are more, so like someone stated might as well spend the extra $50 for the badge.
