I didn't claim he was assuming anything. I asked for proof behind his statement. There's a big difference between assuming he didn't have proof and asking for some proof.

even if you consider the sampling "ok"...

isn't it a bit weak to bank your entire label on edits of existing music? not only the entire label, but the entire sound that w+l represents. it's all ripped off. maybe that's the point, i don't really know.

when i listen to their sets i just wait for the next track and say "oh look another disco edit"

i'll admit i don't know their catalog front to back, but their live sets are all the same...

LOL dude, the Wolf + Lamb guys have three different labels with over 60 releases between all of them. Only one of such labels, which is Wolf + Lamb Black, was created with the sole purpose of releasing these edits, and they have released 3 EPs.

And between all of their 60+ releases, ONE of them has been "disco edits".

Who the fuck are you talking about? Soul Clap? Wolf + Lamb the DJs, the label, or someone else?

You sound like you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, whatever that is...

you are right, i have never looked at a wolf and lamb catalog

their live sets are all disco edits, so i assumed that's what they released

not really into that sound, so i didn't bother looking into it...

Permanent Vacation, DFA and Running Back playing second fiddle to W+L and Hyperdub is criminal. I don't get RAs hard-on for dubstep

Hyperdub is one of the most forward thinking labels around, but you're right, it shouldn't have been number one. Wolf + Lamb are the clear choice for label of 2009 for me.
