Just scroll down to the Old Miami review. That was this past June so things may have changed since then. I dunno. I'm going in considering the Old Miami a non event this year. If it just so happens it happens, then it's all good.

Just booked a room.

Bah! hearsay from a blog post a year ago ain't gonna make me believe there is not party at Old Miami this year... that party is too legendary to be canceled and I'm sure money would be involved to keep it there. Especially with the rise in popularity of the usual DEMF Old Miami suspects this year globally, I doubt they would cancel it this year!

There are other reasons ppl cancel things though. (i.e. Something sketchy happening that the owner didn't like; just doesn't feel like it anymore etc. etc.)

I agree...it's all hearsay/rumour right now. So I'm going to go in with the idea and hope that it's still going until the after parties are officially announced.

Complete sidenote: My friends and I were talking about the "Tommy Hilfiger admitted to saying racist things on Oprah" rumour last night. You know you ALL heard it in grade school/high school. Turns out the entire thing was a rumour and it resurfaced in 2007 (10 years after it started) so he made his first appearance on Oprah to clear things up. Some of you probably know that already, but I was amazed and how BIG that rumour got.

Greatest after party I've EVER been to in my life was the Soulfunktion party at the Fi-Nite Gallery in 2007 during DEMF. Everything was perfect about it, attendance, drinks, music, no douchebags...everything was perfect! And that was gone in no time. I have to drive by the place just to relive the experience every time I go for DEMF.

Now in terms of the Old Miami being gossip? Anything's possible. But go through that blog. It's extremely thorough for the electronic music scene. The pre-festival info, the reviews of sets, parties, and hotels, the interviews.......it's appears extremely credible.

i will, however, be really bitter if old miami doesn't happen the year i decide to finally check it out.
