Yeah, I suppose that is misleading of them. Thanks for pointing it out.

I still think NASA is criminally underfunded, though.

And, better living conditions including air conditioning are seen as helping reduce the risk of combat fatigue and PTSD:

Oh boo hoo. Soldiers need AC for combat?

I recently met a ex British Forces (Special Boat Service) commando and he confirmed that US forces are terribly trained - he said even the Seals are disturbingly shit compared to their counterparts in either the British, French or Israeli military. He went on to explain that Seals do not even make it past entry selection training for for the SBS or even SAS.

What he did say was that the US army is incredibly well equipped in comparison and have more money than they know what to do with - their kit is far superior and light years ahead of what the other comparable forces have - it's all lighter and newer. Basically, they have way more money but far less training and expertise.

They should concentrate more on training and perparedness than hotel like facilities and state of the art equipment....that's where all those defense (tax) dollars are going....

Canada's Joint Task Force 2 makes the seals look like a bunch of babies playing in the sand box.

Facetious WAT

Also, they're special forces groups, so the only people who would know the true "eliteness" of the group, are members of that group.

Also, who cares?

Actually, true that. The SASR (aussie SAS) training is so hardcore that they've lost more men due to the extreme training procedure than in combat
