I like some LIES stuff (have the Ron Morelli LWE podcast that I play from time to time and there are a few nice Legowelt tracks) but am more partial to it because of hometown pride.
I'm also glad Spectrum Spools is up there. Some really sweet stuff coming out of there recently, Bee Mask's latest offering is a great example.

We dont get much techno in socal, at least techno that a working person can see driving up to la on weekends.
I saw he and his girlfriend Ida Engberg play back to back once. It was pretty awesome because she's smoking hot, and a very good DJ too.

Bedrock is so beyond irrelevant it's no longer funny, and I have no idea what porcupine is.

But they release boring middling big-room prog tech! That's like so 2012, right?

lol. i love prog as much as the next guy, problem is that bedrock just releases too much stuff and most of it is boring as hell. That being said I loved the Alexander Kowalski remix of Lotus and Stars and Shines. Diggers remake of Eterna was also good but probably not something I will still be playing 5 years from now.
I personally dont get why Traum doesnt get more love on RA or heck even on TA. I think its a great label that produces a lot of quality tracks. Granted its all very similar but nothing wrong with having a very distinctive sound to the label.

Just my favs too, i'd add Guy J & Henry Saiz - Meridian. This is one of the tunes of the year for me. I agree they release maybe too much stuff but a lot of labels do the same, the difference is that sooner or later they release something good.

Bedrock releases way more stuff than most labels I would argue. I had to stop following them on beatport as it was just too much. Its basically diggers version of Armada. He has released 3 different compilation albums this year and I swear all three put me to sleep because it was one bedrock song after another. But man that Kowalski remix of Lotus is amazing. I liked Meridian a lot too, forgot about that one.

Good to see Hessle up there, they're one of the few UK "bass"/dubstep labels that has stuck to what they believe in, instead of making boring watered down house or techno. And unlike others, they're still doing new/fresh stuff instead of clamming to the 7 year old halfstep template.
Hessle Audio is actually named after a street - Hessle Avenue - in LS6, one of the main student areas in Leeds. At one point, I almost rented a house on that street. I've actually spoke to a few of the Hessle Audio guys on the bus going up into LS6, they all still live in the area.
