I discovered the joys of sleep deprivation last night. I had drove up to Vancouver to see Digweed, and decided it'd be a great idea to drive back after the show instead of staying in a hotel overnight. He ended at 3:30 and I got home at six, having been up since before 6AM the previous day.

About halfway through, I started drifting off and there were points where I'd go, "Okay, what the fuck, I don't remember the last ten minutes." So I started talking to myself and ended up carrying on a conversation with myself. During the conversation I kept thinking "Wow, these two people are fucking idiots, they don't make any sense at all." Then I was stuck in early-morning Boeing traffic just before I got home. I started to hallucinate and thought I saw people on the hanging out on the shoulder of the freeway and squirrels and some weird, gray furry critter running around in front of my car and occasionally hopping on the hood.

Never doing that again.

yeah...definitely worth it to get a cheap hotel. it's not fun at all to drive on little to no sleep

It was definitely worth it. It was a small club so I was expecting him to play a little on the softer side, but he went and destroyed the club. He dropped some absolutely incredible tracks, and the last ninety minutes was a sound reminiscent of the Delta Heavy days and good, banging Progressive House. The highlight of the night was Saints & Sinners - Pushin' Too Hard, and the lowest point of the night was when he played the godawful Huntemann remix of Crocodile at the beginning of his encore.
