I already finished it a long while ago, but it was a pain in the ass and I wanted to smash my PS2 (to PC) controller to pieces.

meh... got it, been playing it

The PC Version is a shitty PS2 to PC conversion (when it should be the other way around)

They didn't take advantage of anything the PC has to offer (mp3 imports, vinyl/decal imports) and the interface is absolutely terrible for the PC (because it is designed for a console controller, not a mouse). Somewhere along the line, they forgot to include game customization options. Where are the joystick options (sensitivity, deadzone, etc)??

The game is fun, and there's lots of neat stuff to unlock, and customizing the cars is fun. Racing is fun for a few hours, but this game seriously lacks interesting tracks. I've played about half of the Undergound mode, and it's all just the same track sections in different combinations. It gets really boring after 50 or so races.

Even though this game is a few months old, I was thinkin' about buyin it for the PS2. Only thing that puts me off is the cheating AI as people have mentioned, I can't stand things like that.

Also, do you have to add vinyls and stickers to your car to increase rep or can you leave them off? I don't like shite like that.

I got bored of NFS... It was fun while it lasted though. IM all about Americas Army now/

As far as I know, you don't get rep points for vinyls.... but you do get rep points for stupid shit like Neons....

umm the cheating AI is irritating, but the game is still very fun and in most instances the cheating is a non issue, assuming you just keep trading your car for whichever car has the highest performance or ability in whatever race is next. vinyls dont do anything in the game, unless you think they look good.

i wouldnt discourage you from getting the game, it is much more fun than the demo for example. the best bet might be to wait until the price lowers or you can find it used tho - then you couldnt go wrong|
