Well, this doesn't really say that you should give 10% to the poor, but it rather says that you should give that amount to the temple. So that those lazy asses in the temples and churches can do nothing but pray whole days and live off the hard work of the people.

I do know some religious folk believe that good deeds get you into heaven..but, there's a verse in the Bible that says there's only one way,and that way is accepting Jesus into your heart.
People can be very good,and do very good deeds,but that doesn't mean that they're permitted into heaven. I hope you get what I'm saying. |
So that still doesn't explain why horrible things happen to people who are both good and have accepted Jesus in their hearts.
