Linked off-site. If the site grows enourmously, I might consider getting a separate storage-server to store the mixes on.

That's the thing that's bugging me also. It would be a bit 'childish' if only ta-members could join, but on the other hand, it IS the TA-dj's website.

For the time being it will be ta's only, after that we'll see what we'll do with it.

how will you make it TAs only?
Perhaps you can ask the TA admin to incorporate it into the site and the forum database

There are several ways to do this:

I think it would be best to start with a ta's only site, to see how the site develops itself.

After that, registration will be open to other dj's as well. You will have the option to enter your tranceaddict user id and username on your profile, so there will still be a link to tranceaddict.

hey i got an idea for you. amm maybe you could give the opportunity for TA Dj's to do some Live Mixing on the website, every week we choose one TA DJ to make 1-2 hour live mixing, were everyone else can login and connect at same day and time to a live stream like Radio online FM and listen to his set. everyweek we choose 1 dj to do a live set, and when he's done everyone else can Rate him, we do this every week with a different TA DJ, and then after a while everyone is gona have a rating in his profile from other members which will lets us know whos between us is the best. it'll be like every tuesday night or something, and whoever doesnt have time to listen to it Live can still download it anytime within this week and rate it.

does this sound stupid ?!

Not stupid, but practically impossible if you don't have the possibility to stream mp3's...

- search for a filename (e.g, someone downloads a mix from somewhere, theres not a lot of info except a filename - person wants to know the tracklist, searches the site for teh filename: search comes up with filename+filesize and tracklist)
- will there be a limit to how many mixes a person can link to? (thedjlist.com has a limit of 4 i think)

Once I start hosting the mixing myself, I will see if I can implement it.
