Edit - Same reason I don't enjoy listening to creation vs. evolution debates. I have plenty. The argument just cycles around. It is never forward moving, and those are two sides well represented by knowledgeable authorities. Here we don't even have the information. If I wanted to spend a bunch of time researching all of the things I have seen or heard to substantiate them, you still wouldn't believe it. I am not gonna post things I can't give proof for, but I don't consider this conversations worth hours of research, just to prove to you. I've seen my data and my evidence, and I know you'll jump on this one. Maybe I will get some data together for you at some point, but not now. I have a job, and work to do, and no internet at home.

I could have asked you why you believe that you are right and so many others are wrong, but I already know what the reply was going to be: it's a feeling. Why? Well, I can only speculate upon the precise sequence of events, but most likely at some point in my past my brain drew a connection between darker hair and sexuality: a subconscious association which subsequently manifests itself along with innumerable other factors in my attraction or the lack thereof towards a woman.

Now I'm not opposed to the idea that you prefer certain religious beliefs for a similar reason: you've already made it clear that you were raised in a religious environment so there was plenty of opportunity for you to make similar associations between those beliefs and feelings of purpose, security, et cetera.

If that was the case I obviously can't blame you for making the choice that you did, even if I think it was the ultimately less fulfilling one.
