They're a feral animal.
They tend to go through tents looking for food if you leave them open, they have been known to attack people but thats rare. They can be scary, but at the end of the day, don't freak out and run (ie don't act like prey) and you should be okay.

The only time we ever get to see a dingo is in a zoo or on tv. They tend not to roam around very much unless you live in the desert type areas.
