That was what i was venting about - the fact that many people only voted with their wallet in mind and they chose to ignore issues such as being lied to repeatedly by our head of state, Weapons of Mass Destruction (oh yeah, where are they?), the War In Iraq, the environment, etc. The credibility of our leaders is pretty important in my opinion and Howard has repeatedly duped the Australian people about important national issues. I concede that Howard won fair and square. He is a fantastic politician, and a master of wedge politics. He ran the better campaign and he won because of it. However, i don't think he is a good leader for our country.

As for your comment about labor having no policies, i don't really know what to say to that....have you been living in a hole for the past nine months??? Latham clearly outlined different policies for Health, Education, The Environment, The Economy, National Security/Terrorism as well as other key areas. You may or may not agree with them but they were definitely there and he provided an alternative to the liberals, unlike Beazley.
