Definitely though, I am quite glad I did come out, cuz my lull from nightclubbing was asking for a kick in the butt.

Awesome pics, guys!! and it was great to see the usual suspects out and dancing up storms.

As for set review... not muchto say... I was happy with every DJ's choice of music, except...
Ferry's set sounded alot like a re-arranged version of his recently released "Passport to the Netherlands" CD. I mean really... most of the track were played, except I left around 545am and missed the best of course... Carte Blanche.. but there's no way of knowing, so I don't blame myself for leaving.

I really kinda liked Lee Burridge's (sp?) set, even though he never really built up to anything bigger and better until maybe the last 2 tracks he played. I guess he was told he was to play a typical openning set.

Ferry's WHAT CD?

The lights in Kool Haus were pretty crappy to begin with but the screens just kept repeating the same freaking schedule of dj's all night long! maybe do it every 5 or 10 mins run through it and have crazy visualizatins going on otherwise...what the fak?

Just got home from the grandparents from Thanksgiving dinner. I almost fell asleep at the table. It was funny, I waltzed in with redbull.

Arrived last night at about 11:45 after some technical difficulties with idiots trying to screw with our previously arranged rides. Note to self: drive only people you can count on from now on

Hopped in without guest list, which was weird. Just sort of wandered in without anything which was fun. Met up with Barry at coat check which was a great coincidence. Wandered into Guv and straight over to the Orange Room. Met up with Dennis' cousin and in the process, lost the girls I was with (woops). Holy hell K-Swing was tearing it up... wow what a hot DJ.

Into KH we went to meetup with the TA's. LOVE seeing you all out. The wristband thing is such a great idea Spyder. LOVE IT. Speaking of which... plans for that later in the evening were already going through my head.

Lee Burridge was tearing it up with some rocking housy/techie/dark... what was it we figured out to call it Cale? Whatever it was it was getting me in the mood to party, along with all the TA's showing up pumping up the vibe.

Barry and I decided (after waiting for almost an hour for the girls to return, YES I WAITED) we headed over to check out Hatiras. Welp...he was a bore, so after about 15 minutes we headed over to check out K-Swing finishing up. We were chatting with the BPM guys when out of nowhere comes out Mark Oliver, walks over and hands us a pair of drink tickets. Thanks Mark, you truly are the man who keeps Guv running over all these years. After a proper Happy Birthday was given out, we decided to check out Uberzone and thank goodness I did. He had that place JUMPING. The live work was incredible. Watching him bounce around with such energy was great. Also had a chance to give a quick hello to K-Swing in all her beauty (just wow again btw to emphasize that point).

Off to KH again to the back for a return meetup with TA's. Timo was rocking it out kinda slow, but he started to bang it out after a little while. More and more TA's were showing up and it was awesome to bring that energy level up as we knew what we were all waiting for: FERRY!

Barry and I headed over to pick up the recording gear for the interview and headed backstage to get setup. In we went and there he was again, Ferry Corsten. He was psyched to see us again which was really cool that he remembered us. The interview went just fantastic, I snapped some cool pics, and then afterwards we just sort of shot the shit for a bit. I told him all about Robben's antics of his dress-up and whatnot and he signed his vinyl for him. He thought it was hilarious. Then we explained that the TA's all had the DANGER Tape tonight to tell everyone apart and gave Ferry his own. He said he would put it on infront of everyone so all the TA's could see. Such an awesome guy. Truly a class act man. So much respect for him.

We hurried back to KH just as Ferry was hitting the stage. Met up with my buddy Jay from Buffalo which was a great suprise to see. Too bad you had to leave so early man... work must have sucked at 8am. Ferry came out rocking right from the start. Barry and I rotated running around with his killer HD cam. Hopefully we can get that video out in the future. I got a rocking shot of Cale holding up his Ferry shirt to the cam, while looking right over Ferry's shoulder. I also got a rocking shot of Ferry holding up and putting on the Danger tape for all the TA's to see. Hope it turned out well

Ferry was just going nuts all night, having so much fun up there bouncing around. Dropping tune after tune of just awesome trance. No wonder he loves to play in Toronto: the crowd was up and down more than a whore on a Friday night for him, bouncing all over the place.

All the way until nearly 9am he kept me going. I would look over at Cale from time to time or any of the other TA's. Signing things all night, intereacting with the crowd, taking pics, the whole deal. World class performance.

He even stopped to take a pic w/ all the TA's that were left at the end of the night. Great night.

We headed over to Guvvy for a bit to watch Carl but I was dead, I needed to head out. Off to London it was from then, and then off to Thanksgiving dinner w/ the fam.

Long night, but well worth it. SPECIAL thanks to all the TA's for the night. I say it all the time but you are what makes the party so much more special.

Here are some pics:

Here's a link to all the pics: LINK

Great night!, stayed in the kool haus for the majority of the time Lee Burridge had a great set, some old, some new, and it all worked. To me that was the best set. Hawtin had some highs and lows from what I heard but I was quite impressed with the crowd reception of hearing a sound not to familiar in that venue... very receptive. And as many mentionned, Cox was full throttle from the moment he started. Great crowd interaction.

Althought this was the Guv's 9 year anniversary, I think it's important to point out that Mark Oliver has been pounding out that massive room....rooms, for that many years and has done so with much class, talent and showmanship.

If someone was recording coxy's set, that would just be complete and utter awesomeness.
