Are you aware of the extent to which your views are cultural, or culture-induced?
America is a very egalitarian and idealistic country, with politically correct and gender-neutral attitudes to sex and love. But America is not the whole world. In Southern Italian villages, for example, the vast majority of husbands have affairs with other women, which is silently accepted by everyone although never discussed in public. And I remember reading a survey that in Germany, a significant number of Germans (perhaps even the majority) don't have negative views of extramarital sex.
