That place was sure busy Tuesday! I got there at about 9:30, and not one parking spot anywhere, so I parked on the other side, and whew, no ticket or tow. Great to see a lot of familiar faces, and Jenn, who first welcomed me to TA, so seeing Jenn is always a little special.
You know the night was going to start off well, when I when I ordered Rickards Red, and they don't have my favourite bar draught. So the girl offered me their closest equivalent, Royals Red. I was about to order for Jenn, but she already ordered it 5 minutes earlier. So after 10 minutes after chatting with her and other TAs, my beer came, yay. Not red, but quite brown, never heard of the name, an wondered if it was made out of some dude's basement but drank the swill anyways, I was hot and thirsty after the game. But wait... No, Jenn does not get a gin&tonic. No, not yours. We politely remind the nice quench wench, while Bobby orders his water wings.... um I mean water with his hot wings So she forgot Jenn's drink again. I believe a few minutues later she comes back with Bobby's clear, crip-looking refreshment, while Jenn with her sad puppy dog eyes finally received her 25-minute-later drink, with just about all the ice melted. Jenn wasn't about to wait another 20+ minutes for another drink, so she still pulled it back with thirsty concupiscence. Bobby smacked his lips as he was about to sip into his thirst quencher, but nearly spit it out with the similar force of a tanga-clad Hawaiian luau fire-spitter, as his simple water turned out to be an effervescent aqueous concoction. Poor guy didn't get his water, all at the table sighed an audible "AAAaaaaaawwwww..." as Bobby had the look of a poor kid who just lost the scoop of ice-cream off his cone. Needless to say, his water came (with half-melted ice-cubes of course) when he was almost already finished his wings.
After a few drinks and good friends I haven't seen outside the Guv or TiL environment, all this didn't matter. Lots of pic flashes throughout the night, hugs, licks, asses, Hoegaarden, cheeks, Polski, Ukrai, CSI, Montréal, oh, and pics with the lens cap still on.
...and finally, big ups to all who came up from so far away!
(sorry to stop it there, lunch is short, back to work)
