I kinda like minimal. It has its place in dance music and I think that place is to warm up the real music. I think its Digweed and probably some other djs that play maybe an hour or so of minimal to warm up their sets and thats fine, it works there.

However, I cant imagine an entire night devoted to minimal as it gets old pretty fast. Some minimal is good and some is really good (John Tejada) but most of it is long drawn out bleepy-ness thats annoying as hell to listen to.

And as far as 'Click' is concerned, yeah it sucks but go on beatport and listen to the minimal tracks on there and its not any worse than any of them. But it will get played just cause it has the Angello and Ingrosso name on it.

Hopefully the boys will go back to what they do best and produce something of the quality of the Sotckholm Disco EP or even Teasing Mr. Charlie.

Also, minimal can be alot more interesting if played right. Layering 3 tracks together is fun

you're giving people too much credit. they probably only know 3 minimal songs and have made their opinion of an entire genre off of them

good minimal is far from boring and leaps beyond this track...

So that obviously means we can't go back on topic at all ever.

In hindsight, this thread wasn't even worth creating.

Not even for the entertainment value.

I never said that.

Everyone keeps relating the minimal arguement back to this track. Noones concerned about this track. It's nearly unanimously voted "suck."

I don't really agree with the "worst track ever" and 0/10 reviews, but its pretty boring IMO. I think the bassline chugs along nicely but other than that, I don't get this track. I don't listen to minimal (does James Holden's recent mix album / essential mix count?) so I can't really call them out on bandwagon jumping either.

82-83 is so much better than this track, that is all I will say.

Because it's true. If this had Holden's name on it, everyone would be praising it.

I cannot get over the amount of fanboy bullshit bantering in this thread.

How many times am I going to have to say it: If Holden made this track, I'd be criticizing Holden. It's not the artist - It's the track.

If any of you really believe that the only reason this track is getting shit on is because it's got Angello and Ingrosso's name on it, then honestly, I feel utterly disrespected. Essentially you're implying that all of us criticizing the track care more about a name, about looking and sounding cool, than the music. Any of you who've read my posts across MD and the new release forum damn well know that myself, along with Jason and Clovis and countless others, put an insane amount of effort into finding the music we love, and part of that love is discussing the music, good or bad, positive or negative.

This track is rubbish, it would be rubbish if it were named:

James Holden - Click
Ritchie Hawtin - Click
Loco Dice - Click
Armin Van Buuren - Click
M.I.K.E. - Click
Stefano Greppi - Click
Scooter - Click

The amount of people who keep championing the same argument here need to get a fucking clue - I tire of seeing the same series of posts every fucking day.

HUGE gigantic plus motherfucking 1. I pride myself in not being a fanboy. If a track a certain producer I like makes is shit, I openly and frequently call them on it.
