And depending on if you live at CFB Kingston your cost of living is probably very low as well, but even if you weren't cost of living in Kingston isn't that bad. Its only $30 which is cheaper than most nights at Stereo. Most of us on here who post about Stereo have put out probably hundreds and hundreds of dollars clubbing there just this year alone, and have never really complained for the most part. I know I sure as hell have.

interesting article that happens to relate at the topic at hand

http://www.365mag.com/index.php?pg=...+Music+Magazine

The Bad - Slagging Off
Sasha's an asshole. Hawtin's an egomaniac who can't mix. Digweed is Booooring. Howells is a crackhead. All Deep Dish cares about is cashing their checks. And that damn Bill Patrick won't return my phonecalls. They all suck, what a bunch of losers.

Folks seem to love finding anything and everything to bitch and complain about with their formerly favorite DJs. Despite the fact that it was often these same individuals who helped introduce them to this music they love so much, people always want to slag off the jocks that seem to actually find a decent measure of success.

Is it jealousy, boredom, too much partying? Or maybe its Sick Boy's unifying theory of life, “at one time, you've got it, and then you lose it, and it's gone for ever.” Have these superstars legitimately lost a step, or is it maybe, just possibly… the slaggers who have the problem. I've always thought you learn a lot more about the person doing the talking than the ones who are being talked about. If someone is bitching and complaining or mean-spirited and harsh don't you ever start to wonder why the hell they seem so angry?

The fact is, the top names in the biz, even if they have been accused of “selling out” are all talented jocks who have gained a huge and well deserved level of success. No matter what the whiny, embittered raver who hates that they make money and fill big clubs says, you cannot deny that these DJs are still getting large amounts of people extremely excited about the music they are playing.

And the gratuitously arrogant wannabe DJ who is all chuffed because he can't get a booking off his wicked new minimal CD which he thinks is loads better than that weak ass mix Zabiela handed Lee Burridge a few years ago, can't deny the fact that if he had a huge crowd, a free bottle, and a handful of groupies at his beck and call, he certainly would go ahead and play something other than the latest clicks and blips from the depths of Eastern Europe every once in a while, even if it was just for shits and giggles.

So I guess the BAD is the idea that just because a DJ is now a star, just because he makes money, has found success, and gets to live an enviable life does not necessarily mean you can dismiss him or her as a total twat. Sure some of them may be from time to time, but who isn't really. It is a fact that most of the DJs that have reached that level have been in the game, working their asses off for 10, 15 or even 30 odd years. And anybody who works successfully at the same job for that long is probably not as much of a no-talent, obnoxious, egomaniac as some pretentious, disaffected youths might say.

Coat check is a must, but the main thing is those fucking prick bouncers.
They have to go if im ever gonna even concider going back to this haven of superficiality.
Although i doubt anything will happen on this front, they need those brain dead yokles to deal with the hip hop crowd the rest of the nights in the week.

The only sure way to get me back in there spending money is to build a water slide.

This is what we need, people that believe in us, the more we here good comments the more we will deliver, you guy have to understand its not easy when 2000 peoples are trying to get in your club but we can only hold 600. What happened this Thursday was unexpected. One thing I can promise is that the Tribe sound system will be the best one in the city

Whats not easy, standing in line an hour before most people show up, keep standing in line for an extra two hours, yet still not get in. Yet part of the line transfers into the guestlist line or tries to stand in front ofthe door harassing the bouncer. While most of the people stuck in the regular line, wait and wait... after the bouncer chooses like about 1 person to go in every hour.

Fine I'll give you guys the problem with the sound problem.

Wtv... I give up, saying the same thing over and over.

Tribe Sucks

I went. Waited for 3 hours in the rain. Watched a bunch of pretenious idiots fight to get in. I thought I was at a Casino or something. Digweed was okay but the soundsystem kinda of sucked. Every employee was rude to me. It smelt like shit.

Please Please do not go to this club again.. It's just not worth it. For Montreal, this is a big dissapointment - I would expec something like this in TO not in Montreal.

Tribe Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
