i don't get this, it seems like everyone is ragging on them saying that their style is not suited as an opener for certain DJS, and yet when they are opening up for someone with a different style they do change it up. is that not what a good opening DJ is supposed to do?

and yet this is still not enough for some of you. why do DJS have to be confined and labelled to one specific style of music?

yes but what makes you think he is not capable of playing that sound? for all you know he might love playing and listening to that sound, but because of some of the other clubs he plays at he is confined to playing a certain way because the crowd would not be receptive to it otherwise ...

They are not owners of the business, so they do not care about revenue (ie. draw).

Good point indeed. But if that were the case, he should diversify his residencies a bit. Nobody's forcing him to play to the same crowd and the same music every weekend. If I were in a similar situation, then I'd want to play different music to different crowds, and build my reputation as a diverse DJ that way. Maybe more commercial, pounding beats on Fridays, something more underground and "forward" on Saturdays, and something else on Sundays, for example.

I never said he wasn't capable...I just don't have proof that he is...

I'd rather be blessed by an opening set of someone I'm familiar with (ie. Greg Gow) instead of someone who [may] be capable of delivering the goods...

Good point though...

Psh, I'm sure everyone will agree that talking about my hair is much better than re-hashing the same TO local DJs/scene drama we've already been over a bajillion times.
