So now we've got 18-year-old Theo Walcott up against 39-year-old Paolo Maldini. Raw pace against a seasoned veteran. Intruiging
If you are going to tell a 39 year old to defend an 18 year old , then yes i would assume he would be able to keep him at bay
we're not talking about experience. just speed. and i should think walcott would take on a lot of 39 yr olds.

true
Perhaps maldini was the wrong example to give to highlight my point which was that italian footballers have historically not been the fastest of the lot.
You could probably pick any player in the Milan squad and say that they could not keep up with most of the Arsenal players .. guess the Italian style of football isnt suited for speed

any italian player? true. their game is not built on speed. just strong tactical defense and proper counter-attack distribution (mostly via longball).
however milan does have Kaladze and he is fucking awesome

Shattered Hats off and all credit to Arsenal for their breath-taking sublime football and knocking out the champions of europe. This is the team that everyone SHOULD fear, if our experienced defence could not cope I can't even begin to imagine what Arsenal would do to the other teams. They had us covered well in most areas and Kalac's attempt to save Fabregas' goal was piss poor. I am dissapointed and sad for how Milan have become, a massive overhaul is a necessity in order to compete with excellent teams such as Arsenal.
Best wishes to Arsenal- The European cup awaits you in Moscow.

As a Milanese, i'm sad to see us go out so early, but i have no problem with losing to Arsenal.
At least it wasnt to the ManU scum or Chelsea.
Its time..its time for Ancelotti to go and to FINALLY get a real striker among other things.
Ambrosini CANNOT start anymore...i respect him and the honour code Milan follows, but
you cant have Gattuso AND Ambrosini starting..there're just not enough ppl who know how to do something with the ball on the pitch.
Bring on Lippi!

pato is a real striker, just need a year or two under his belt. once he learns the game, he has enough raw talent to dominate just as Sheva and Bierhoff once did.

Great performance from roma.
Mirko vucinic is quite a player. Never really seen much of him, but he made a huge difference when he came on for mancini

Dominated? Were we watching the same game? That was the most uninspired CL match I've seen this season. Boorrring
btw, Liverpool plays Inter NEXT week. They just defeated West Ham in a Prem game today
