Yes, yes it was.

Also, I bought a heady, heady piece of glass while we were over there, but it's in the post now and I don't expect to see it for a week or so.

Will definitely be posting pics of that once I get it though - it definitely felt like a sound investment.

Did you get to listen to any hardstyle/jumpstyle?

It's really huge in Holland. Most people have this misconception that Holland is about Trance, and nothing could be further from the truth; it's all about Jumpstyle and Hardstyle.

I'm hoping that if you went to any discos you were exposed to some harder soundz of Showtek, DJ Isaac, Technoboy, etc.

I don't even know that I could identify either of those genres in a lineup. All I know is that the D&B played usually had very, very stripped back production and jazzy basslines. It was effectively the exact opposite of the majority of D&B I hear in the midwest.

Edit: We didn't, however, hear much if any trance - which makes sense to me because I don't particularly remember hearing much of it when I was there before outside of trendy nightspots and stores.

Loads of house, hip hop/trip hop, D&B, and classic American pop rock.

Yeah I remember that from when I was over there

Myra and I haven't even gone through them yet, and I'm quite sure she'd be pretty well fucked off if I put them all up before she's even seen them.
