MDMA, the offer's open to you if Dawn is happy to let you kip a few hours at his. I am keen to look around Hamburg anyway as I've only ever been abroad once and that was 5 years ago, so I'd like to have a look around anything interesting the Thursday morning. There are 2 of us, so if Dawn has room for one person, you're the best candidate
I was also wondering what's the deal with mobile (aka 'cell') phones. Would a British phone work in Germany? Would the reception be just the same? Are vodafone/BT cellnet top up cards available in Germany or are they only British companies? |
Thanks a lot Alex, Are u sure u don't want a bit of rest? Cos if u have left at the UK at 6 ish (after your long Journey from Newcastle), and won't have any sleep until the following afternoon, some might say that you'd be a bit knackered!
And also many thanks to DJ Dawn for his generosity!!!
As for Mobile Phones, all phones on UK networks work in EUrope, but you have to inform your mobile operator, that u are giong abroad, and you wnat them to activate 'roaming' This will allow your phone to be readuy to recieve the foreign network. They will most likely also ask you to put a PIN on your voicemail too.
Foreign countries don't sell our top-up cards, so bring your own, or top up loads beforehand. Its quite expensive calling abroad, so stick to texting!
I CAN'T WAIT!!
