but i may be wrong, i was wrong so many times before.

well, kinda sad that you're that cynical to hold this belief

edit: I really can't blame you, considering I see way too much of the cheating BS to think that people can actually be loyal and faithful and all that shijazz

I would tend to disagree here. Cheating and divorce are symptoms of a common problem (i.e. that they simply don't like each other anymore). But divorce also has other causes, like neglect, domestic violence, arguments over the kids, or simply the inability to live together and put up with each other 24/7 or 16/7. So in summary I do not think the rates of divorce are a good indication of how frequently married couples cheat on each other.

yes it was a pretty broad generalisation, i wasn't totally serious and that issue is definitely deeper, but may be some corellation i'd have to invesigate more

Fair enough, I can't fault anything in that. I think it's also fair to say that in the majority of cases, marriage represents a narrowing of whatever boundaries were present before the marriage.

true, it generally just affirms a commitment to the ground rules which are well-established by that stage of the relationship

Divorce has to do with improper selection, not infidelity.

You should go back to posting crudely-drawn sketches of genitalia with facial features and speech bubbles ASAP.

This is definitely a fucked up question... or at least it's not simple.
Cheating is WRONG, there's no doubt about it. If you're unsatisfied in your relationship, there is no reason for the cheater to lie to themselves or to their parter. If the cheater is "cheating" for the thrills... he/she is going to hell . I am definitely not perfect and i can honestly say that I've done MANY wrong things in my life that deserve my journey to hell, but cheating is not fair. It hurts and it the feeling lasts forever. The person that gets cheated on can be scarred for life and as a result, may always have insecurities. The cheater will hopefully have a horrible guilt-trip in the back of their minds until they come clean, or will eventually get hurt when they get caught.

Whatever goes up, must come down...

This coworker also professes his undying love for this girl, and says he wants to marry/have kids with her, but can not stay with one woman for sexual purposes. LOL.
..... And the other people (both men AND women) in the office are saying that everyone cheats at some point, and I am almost agreeing with them.

It seems as if humans are not "made" to be monogamous for their entire lives....... despite their "love" and "commitment", it seems as if most people have faced temptation and have given in.

Opinions?

*I think there was a thead in this before but I couldnt find it.........*

wow that guys is a total whore....you should tell his girlfriend, she has a right to know whats going on...

and no not everyone cheats...cheating is a choice we make and alot of ppl make stupid choices willingly and do bad things. many of us have self respect, a conscience, morals, respectr for other ppl etc...and will never cheat.
