I might be heading to Arbil or Sulaymaniya this year for x number of months, looks relatively safe up there?

stay out of Baghdad's bad neighbourhoods and Iraq's not that bad i think.(by bad i mean, dont venture to shia hood if ur sunni and vice versa)... these group/religious meetings in baghdad are a recipe for disaster-avoid those as well.
