hehehe, look i respect where you are coming from and understand why you are taking the approach you have. nothing i write is going to change your mind and nothing you write is going to change my mind and only time well tell whose truth is right hehe. these two articles typify both our points of view perfectly (read the articles before reading the rest of my post, you have a habit of disregarding stuff before finishing it

you've hurt my feelings tathi, honestly i thought we shared a little more mutual respect than you have displayed for me in equating my opinions with government propaganda!
I strenuously resent you equating established scientific and historical fact with propaganda. If anything, it is films like zeitgeist that resemble government propaganda, if from the opposite point of view.

the first article epitomises your belief system with regards to this subject; the second article epitomises my belief system |
well, with all due respect im offended and i think your dismissal of established fact as very un-tathi like.

you believe the second article is a crazy conspiracy theorist who is attacking the mainstream media using lies and dishonesty because he failed in becoming a journalist in an highly competitive field so blames the system instead of his own shortcomings. thats why he is using a blog instead of writing for an esteemed newspaper with other "real" journalists |
again, i think the comparison is a little unfair. good ideas, good theory and honest writing is normally self-evident. i also find your attempt to compare 'alternative' journalism with the lies and dishonesty found in something like zeitgeist to be WAY off base.
i have no problem with competing points of view, or even biased opinion pieces. i just cant stomach those that tell lies, and the first 40 minutes or so of zeitgeist is full of them. that's not 'alternative' or 'sticking it to the man', its lazy, unprofessional research and people should be ashamed of themselves for making it.
my issue with zeitgiest has nothing to do with alternative opinions and everything to do with numerous factual errors and outright lies.

this is the root difference between both of our belief systems and we will both continue to use confirmation bias to find anything and everything to prove that we are right (you from mainstream media, me from alternative media) to get that feel good shot of dopamine in our brains like good little labrats |
sorry, i must have missed the part where i fell back on some form of mainstream media, unless youre attempting to contend that ALL the factual and relevant historical data is somehow "mainstream" rather than simply "factual". i have presented economic analysis at some length, and explained what the central banks do and how they work. i hardly think thats the same thing.
^^ all of that is just a long way of me saying that the conspiracy theories concerning the federal reserve are demonstrably incorrect, which has nothing to do with opinion. its just established fact.
i dont ignore zeitgeist because it is "alternative". i ignore it because it is wrong (as far as the fed goes). that's a big difference imo.

tathi, to culurot's defense, you should really take a look at the progression of tone in some threads as their relevance to actual argument, and the persistence underlying them . PKC, make a gravity bong if you must .
