If I were Deadmau5 I'd take this as constructive criticism because sooner or later the general public will get sick of the same remix just like we have.

That's where SuperPutt comes in!

Don't know how he plans to get that off the ground, seeing as there already is one in Canada...unless he plans to buy em out.

Seriously, this is the funniest--THE FUNNIEST--shitty tune I have heard ever. EVER. Like, they may need to call in a paramedic or something. Oh God. Wow. WOW.

It's Faxing Berlin with a ripped-off melody. How unoriginal can you get.

I mean, wow.

I wonder where are all the deadmau5 hardcore fans that he talks about ????so far in this thread there are more people bashing him than defending this track.

How about remixing J-pop instead of classical music zimmerman

...of course, no one knows what the true meaning of the funny was.

The true meaning of funny will forever be this:

You think you could go back to those humble roots for a minute and give us a Deadmau5 remix of the NES Friday the 13th theme?

...

Maybe release it next year for the 20th anniversary.

haha. i honestly never even liked the original melody that much so wouldn't enjoy the challenge. and i wasn't claiming that i could come up with a godsend to all modern music, just something better than deadmau5's effort

also for what it's worth, i respect deadmau5 for most of the comments he's made in TA threads past and present. i'm aware this view may be controversial, but it is nonetheless sincere and backed up by reason.

i guess i could elaborate a little. essentially i disagree with those who have comdemned deadmau5 (and others) for wanting to make a living out of music (or more specifically, producing/performing music in his preferred genre field). if he's content with the sounds he puts out and they serve him well (both financially and in terms of giving him lots of fun opportunities & life experiences), then i can't see why at least some amount of kudos shouldn't be deserved?

the number one aspect of a career choice is that you enjoy it. if my music tastes were echoed more by the mainstream and i wasn't as much of a perfectionist/elitist then i'd probably shoot for similar goals as deadmau5, instead of opting for the 9-5 job route. as it stands, i wouldn't enjoy the ensuing creative demands, sacrifices and restrictions brought on by producing such music at such a rate. much in the same way i could venture into telesales and earn a shitload more than what i'm on at the moment, but wouldn't want to endure all the hassling and bullshitting involved; nonetheless, i respect those who can and do.

in addition, i'm also of the view that becoming a 'famous' producer shouldn't preclude someone from speaking their mind in situations where regular people would do the same.. since that's really all producers are; regular people. as to the question of how much he cares what other people think, just consider how much YOU care what others think of your views. i'd hedge a guess that comments on a messageboard generally don't make that much of a difference to your mental health and wellbeing, but at the same time that doesn't stop you from wanting to get your views across, does it?

i could say more but i'd be venturing into spirit5 territory
