Ignatieff's response is to meet with the tamils. Mcguinty has expressed "sympathy" for them.
Where is the condemnation? To be honest I am shocked that the wimpiest of them all, Miller, actually did condemn the gardiner blockade.
If the conservatives came out with this drivel id be slamming them too. Just as I am disappointed that Harper has morphed into a Red Tory or worse! But thats a whole other thread! |
Ignatieff's motives are clear, win their votes for the next election. Again, for McGuinty, its about votes. The NDP would love to swoop in and empathize, because this is right up their alley. McGuinty could care less about the conservatives in Ontario, because their party is broken, and clearly not a threat, but the NDP is (in Toronto).
The whole protest is idiotic to say the least. They are protesting, for the government to do something. Have they even looked at what powers the Fed has? The entire thing is so unorganized, which is demonstrated by the fact that these people just show up, no coordination.
Then there is their general appearance. If you want to be taken seriously, fuckin comb your hair you vagabonds. These people look like they all just roll out of bed, then hop on TV and start talking nonsense. There is a general air of desperation, and illogical thinking when it comes down to it.
But it has to be said, which I have not read in this thread, that Tamils and Sri Lankan's should be treated differently. Don't hate on the Sri's, most of Toronto's restaurants are filled with them as our cooks, don't loose your lunch!
