If you want to create everything yourself then fine. Nothing wrong with that. If, for your own production method, you find you can better achieve the sound you are after and building every single element from the ground up, then great, whatever works best for you.
But in creating every element yourself, don't think that this will make your track sound more original than someone who uese samples and presets, because it simply isn't true. And please don't confuse presets with the over used recycled sounds in a lot of todays trance. This is a seperate issue and nothing to do with presets. I could make a trance track entirely from presets and have it sound nothing like a typical trance track. All I need to do is choose presets that sound original. |
so hang on who made those presets/? was it you? if everybody owned a virus lets say or a popular synth and made tracks with those presets witch most seem to do does this then not high lite my point....YOU NEVER MADE THOSE PRESETS SOMEONE ELSE DID.
