I'm being as polite as i possibly can, it's very difficult to tell someone that they're opinions are wrong, without sound condescending or insulting. I think i said: "I am not insulting you as a person, i am taking issue with what you have written, which i know is untrue, and i feel is either willfully ignorant, or at best simply misinformed."

I could let loose with some nasty flames, threats, type in ALL CAPS, start spelling things badly, insulting his mother.. that would be being a dick, and pointless besides.

and if you still don't understand, calling someone's opion WRONG is not only an uneducated remark and incorrect use of the english language, it is also petty and rude. there is no such thing as a right or wrong opinion. fact and fiction go together, but opinion has nothing to do with either. if you want to challenge someone who is giving false information (misled "fact"), then do so in a civil manner, but challenging and putting down someone's opinion is pure slander.
