I have enough friends, they don't think I'm a prick so I so no reason to change. The only thing reading your book is going to do for me is destroy my sense of grammar and spelling.
If you're serious about writing, especially commercial writing then there's a few things you're going to need to do. The first thing is look at various books and see what sortof ones were commercial successful and why not and figure out why. If your books aren't even half as good as ones that have failed commercially then you're just going to have to be realistic and either improve your quality or find an easier hobby/career. You can call me a negative prick if you want but that's just pretty obvious critical thinking. You're going to need to find some honest criticism for your stuff and if you just immedietly call everyone being critical a "negative prick" then you're probably not going to end up with any books that are actually enjoyable for anyone else. Especially if you just sit there reading them and thinking they're god's gift to humanity. It doesn't quite work that way unfortunately.
