i still think making money off people sucks ass.
regardless of if you need the money or not, i just couldn't in good conscience do that to someone that wants to go that bad.
take graduation tickets, for example. we get 4 tickets maximum for the price of $50 USD (thats about $100 canadian). and every year, people are just assholes and charge 60-100 USD per ticket for that unfortunate person whose grandparents (both sets) want to come see their graduation ceremony because they are proud. i have one extra ticket. today i went to the free board where all the people have posted their pleas of "please sell me a ticket! grandparents are coming out of town", etc... right next to the "tickets - $100!" signs. i randomly chose one flier, called her today, and offered her the ticket.. free. my god, i've never heard a person's tone change so suddenly to something so grateful, and it felt fantastic. she was truly shocked that someone would actually be NICE and offer the ticket for nothing, rather than forcing her to pay probably 2-300 bucks for extra tickets so her relatives could go. that's just fucked up... college students of all people should understand that other college students do NOT have that kind of money.
so the moral of the story is, people who rip other people off because they can suck ass. call it karma if you will.. i never do this to people (if anything i might mark up like, 5 bucks, for my time), and in return, i've never really gotten ripped off. so those of you who are out for the money and will make some desperate trance fan pay twice or three times as much, better enjoy getting ripped off, cause i hope it happens to you. -_-
