I'm a bit confused...

Is the CD actually mixed or just filled with shortened/edited versions of the tracks like he did with traffic, nyana, and adagio on Just Be?

Because he played it at the Olympics. That's the point of this CD.

No, I mean why WOULD you play this at the Olympics? Just seems a bit out of place to me.

Well it seems in place to me. I guess that's personal opinion, and will warrant who uses the skip button on their CD player.

Loooking forward very much to the vinyl

Dunno if I would get the vinyl album, because the only songs I like are Heroes and Breda 8PM. The others are also good, but nothing special IMO.

Alright, so i just checked out the CD.

Is it worth the 15 bucks in the CD bins? Doubtful.
But i will say, its a great CD for any new tranceaddict looking for something with a little bit more oomph or someone needing workout music. It's a little bit too linear IMO, not sure why. Athena is a GREAT track though, its got a real depth to it. I think it's time people put aside their Tiesto opinions and just picked it up with an unbiased ear..though its hard cause most of you guys (and gals) are pretty set in your tastes, not to say that im not, cause i definitely have a sound of my own, matter fact, ive been vastly disappointed with trance in the past few months, but putting that aside.

This CD is pretty good, A great opening and follow up with the second track. It's really got that "i will conquer" mood to it, which i dont really like, but thats ok, this WAS for the olympics, so its sort of expected. You'll hear reminders of a lot of tiesto's past productions. I must say, IM SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ADAGIO EVERYWHERE

As for this event in general: This release is different from all his previous ones because this is one of the few where he didnt take his previous listeners into account. This was played for people who hadnt had much exposure to trance really, so its not gonna be like all the other ones and its definitely not like his previous releases from the past two years.

word.

That's what I love about this genre of music. No bandwagons of people either liking or FORCING themselves to like certain tracks.

You forgot about ASOT. But that's a whole different rant.

Never got into it. Listened to a few episodes, but I didn't like any of them.
