I have never ever seen a division so tight. 5 Teams, all winning records, separated by a 1 and 1/2 games from top to bottom. Spectacular.

Right now the Nationals are number 1 in the NL East, the first time since 1933! and with the Orioles right around the corner in the AL East on top of their division makes things quite heated around here.

Ever since the Nationals moved in here there has been sort of a bitter rivalry between the two teams, just because of proximity. I dunno, I kinda supported the O's since they were the closest major league team near me, but ever since Washington got a new team back, i've been rooting for them.

So with the Nats now #1 in the NL east, i wonder how long they can keep that position. Like you said every team is over .500 and they're all within 1 1/2 game or less.

Despite all the injuries, the Nats are still playing in one tough division. Being able to play teams with winning records (st. Louis, florida and Atlanta) and being able to win is showing that they are for real.

a third of the season is already gone so it's not over yet. I'm just looking forward to a heated division race!

in other baseball news, clint barmes (colorado) will be out for 3 to 4 months after breaking his clavicle bone while falling down a flight of stairs ... and how did that happen you might ask ?? .. he was trying to bring the groceries to his apartment!! ..

damn him! i had him for TA fantasy baseball, and now things are getting a little tight now (since including barmes, i had 6 guys on the DL! .. that sucks ..)

but what an injury eh ? .. where was his lacky at that time ?? .. i guess rookies don't get lackies until their 3rd or 4th season ..

Hey all fantasy baseball players...could use some suggestions on relief pitchers that might be decent to pick up off the waiver wire.i currently have Bob Wickman, ryan dempster and Huston Street...Wickman seems to be my most reliable so far which is quite scary.

To the Braves fans(ahem Magnetonium) wtf was the deal with Ramirez throwing near Erstad's Head....kind of Busch league there considering he made a very clean hit on estrada the night before(by the way that was the best hit since Pete Rose laid his buddy out during the all star game) which i don't think should have warranted a retalliation

Congrats to the nationals on 10 wins in a row...i'm glad that this team is doing well after all the turmoil the expo's had since the strike year.Amazing that they are playing so well since during spring training i watched them almost everyday and to say the least they played poorly. Can't hurt though when you have a former player who is knowledgable and understands the game completely....Frank Robinson should be Manager of the year
