I'm still in awe of this party so I'll say a bit more. I went in skeptical, as Tiesto takes a far back seat to PVD in my eyes however wow.. unbelievable. He started off with a housey, progressive feel - tracks from ISOS 5, played a lot of new stuff (Helsinki - Scorchin') as well as Tiesto classics (Flight 643, Lethal Industry, Just Be <3..) The energy of the crowd was _unbelievable_ - I think the moment when the unmistakable note progression of Lethal Industry came in, coupled with whatever they did with the lighting that night and the crowd's enormous reaction to it is going to stick with me for quite some time. I've been at bigger parties where more recognizable tracks were played but wow, what a moment. The sound was amazing, the Docks looked hot and the crowd was packed, but polite.
I don't know if I've ever been to a party where the DJ has been able to keep a crowd in the palm of his hands for the entire night. Not to mention clearly having fun while doing it.
"#1 DJ in the world Tiesto" showed up on Sunday night and I'm quite happy with myself for deciding to go.
