Well with purely textural ambient stuff..or soundscapes, that can't as easily be compared to 4/4 EDM as some stuff that may be labeled ambient or downtempo, yet it has much more of a beat...like Ulrich Schnauss that I mentioned. And if you look at progressive house and progressive trance...the really atmospheric and melodic kind, you'll find some similarities to ambient music, as sometimes the deeper, progressive stuff is noted as being near-ambient at points and is easily made into an ambient, downtempo or chill-out mix (like with some trance, taking the breakdown and extending it and basically eliminitating the 4/4 beat). Now comparing it to a huge epic or psy track...that's when it gets harder to compare.

well I find that little is better said with little words
anyways this album is pretty remarkable. I didnt expect it to sound like this at all, but Its definatelly growing on me everytime I listen to it. The orchestral parts and piano solos are really beautiful.
The album as a whole reminds me a little of Sashas Airdrawndagger. Probably because of the lush soundscapes and all these wild ideas. Its nowhere near as danceable as ADD was, though
all in all: a solid album from mr Bt and I'll be waiting for the next one.
