Innovate or die
John Digweed is my choice. 10/10 for track selection, 10/10 for the mixes. When ya boil it down, that's all we do.
So many cool DJs get stuck in a rut. Oakie was wicked in 1998...but never evolved. Armin and tiesto trance it up like nobody's business...but don't evolve.
The Digweed sound evolves constantly. Go check out one of his old twilo mixes. Then think of the electro-prog stuff that's all the rage these days. He was dropping these bleepy tracks and generally freaking us out with that genre before it was a genre. Good musicians evolve...they move art forward.
Cheers to digweed...truly a DJ's DJ.

Kai has a hand in virtually everything that gets released on TTX. ASYS is still Frank Ellrich's project, and he's the only one who djs under that name as well.
