The Blizzard - Kalposia
Chris Lake - Carry Me Away

The only tunes I enjoyed on CD1

i still enjoy the radio shows, but armin should stick to prog trance and epic trance

looking at this tracklist, he's playing more prog house / electro / house. there are how many djs who are better at these genres than armin?

anjunabeats 5 is better than this, this isn't even trance anymore. for a real trance mix cd, listen to j00f - unfold

Actually CD1 of Vol 5 has more house than this entire comp!

I think its a very trancy comp, I am definitely digging CD 1. CD 2 doesn't flow as well IMO, but overall the comp isn't 'horrible' like everyone is ranting.

what i meant by that was

disc 1 has some nice songs on it. but i think its really a stretch to call 'carry me away', 'light the skies', 'wouldn't change a thing' and songs like that trance, i enjoy them, but very poppish

whereas with anjunabeats 5, the housey stuff like the jaytech and boom jinx songs are still kind of trancey melodic prog house, sort of warming up to the faster songs.

After now knowing some more tunes from this double-CD; I think its more & more horrible. Still dont know the Tenishia & First State tunes, but apart from them I only like Chris Lake - Carry Me Away. Set some hope on Formentera What, but this tune is totally generic, absolutely horrible vocals & a shit guitar. Emery could do way better then this like 'Outrageous' shows.
