i'm in cleveland...so a good 3 1/2 hour drive to detroit...i've never ever ever heard of this festival. mostly b/c i don't pay attention to anything in the midwest.

there comes a time when the operation of the machine is so odious that you cannot even tacitly participate. you've got to place your bodies on the gears, the wheels, all the mechanism. you've got to indicate to those who own it and those who run it, that unless you are free, the machine will be prevented from working at all.

okay, so if i do go, i'd have to spend a shitload of $$$ on a good hotel? otherwise i'd be stuck with weird people? i'm not sure if it's worth it then, especially since i'd be driving such a long way and spending a lot of money on a hotel isn't exactly the next thing i'd want to do.

Yeah, expect to pay at least 230 bucks a night. That's how much our room at the Marriott works out to be, fees and taxes included. Not too bad...since there's 3 of us in the room, we each pay for a night.
