lol you guys remind me of this guys gf that we know. She's 17 he's 31. She's like "OMG I LOVE HIM WE'RE GOING 2 BE 2GETHER 4EVER AGE DOESN'T MATTER" and he sleeps with tons of other chicks. He just keeps her around for the steady bang, and since she can't get into any clubs... he leaves her behind and is single for the night.

Why for the life of me any girl would think that when she's 17-19 she's going to marry her 29-31 yr old boyfriend... I don't know.

You don't even know who you are yet at 17 let alone 21... that's why so many marriages end up in divorce - you get married before you even know who you really are and then are all "surprised" that you "grew apart"

And how many years ago was this? My grandma was 14 when she married my grandpa (I think he was in his late 20's or something) But that was for-fucking-ever ago. It goes back to the discussion we had a few months ago about how marriages worked out back then and now for the stupidest reason people get divorced. Age didn't really matter back then. Those were different times. Now it does. It plays a big role in any kind of relationship. Sara confirmed what I said earlier. That girl is living on a cloud thinking their relationship is perfect and blah blah blah and just wait until she finds out what he's been doing behind her back lol. Girls my age or younger and even a little bit older are stupid and naive and think that "omg I'm going to be with this guy forevevrvrvrvr!!!111!!" and then reality sinks in and problems start to happen and it's over before they know it.

Like these girls I went to school with that are engaged and are already expecting a baby and it's like dude you just turned 18, what are you thinking? and they are like "oh you don't understand!!! we are in love!!" it's like yeah okay get back at me a in a few years lol.

FINALLY.

Thank God you're not a stupid chick.

And back three generations (yours, your parents, then your grandparents) - lifestyles were very different and what was and was not acceptable was different. People didn't get divorced then and there was still very little women in the workplace and they stayed home and raised the family - life was different. With life the way it is today (sex widely acceptable) you simply cannot compare todays teens to teens from 50-60 years ago. Worlds of differences. My grandparents are 9 years apart and got married after knowing each other 6 days and celebrated their 55th this year. Is that realistic in todays times? No.

Thank you lol. But it's true! Completely different times. Different beliefs. Different everything. You just can't compare those times with the times now. Please, even people that have known each other for many years and get married end up divorced most of the time. It's sad but true.

And to answer your question Bas, yes I have been as naive as those girls and still am sometimes. I'm still young. Still learning. But these girls aren't realizing how young they are and how inexperienced they are. They believe everything their man says because they are blind. Just give them a few years or something lol. I just feel so bad for the ones that are PREGNANT. Jesus christ man, What is the fucking rush? Do you really have to get married and start a family at 18-21?
