I started listening to trance and following the scene after a long break, and couldn't understand how Gareth Emery suddenly came from nowhere into one of the top ranked DJs so quickly? Did he have some massive breakout year or something? I thought most people had to earn their stripes and pay their dues before getting recognised in the way he seems to be.

I liked the track "Mistral" he made many years ago, but this Sanctuary is awful. There is another track he's done with the same vocalist that sounds as if it was made by Scooter.

Oh this Orbion track is very good.

This was one of the best and prolific Trance years, a lot of good tracks, a very hard choice , who is the best to me...
