i dont listen to old trance now, i listen to house or techno, or some genreless music, as ive grown tired of trance long ago. but that doesnt mean it was better than todays trance. you all got it wrong i wasnt subjective and i dont have emo-feelings wishing things where like they where, because i get tired of things pretty fast. i discovered trance late but got tired of it before it died and moved on to hardhouse (shame on me lol) and then techno, progressive etc etc. before trance i listened to drum and base, happy hardcore, jungle, early techno and all kinds of shit within edm. trance had its period and its dead now, the sooner u accept this the sooner you will be able to make money on music. im not saying music in general was better in the 90s cause im actually finding more good music with less effort now. but its not trance!
