It does seem kinda strange to watch that... looks like mostly a bunch of kids looking for a reason to party. I saw reporters interviewing some of 'em in front of the White House and asking, "How do you feel right now? What does this mean to you?" And they'd be like, "HE'S DEAD! YAAAA!!" or "I LOVE AMERICAAAAA!" or "THIS IS SO SURREAL! THIS IS GREAT FOR OBAMA!" or even more stupidly, "ROLL TIDE!!!" (which for you foreigners is the University of Alabama sports team cheer). Good lord, I had to change the channel. It was embarrassing. One douche who was like 20 years old said, "I've been waiting for this virtually my whole life!" Really? Since you were 10 years old you've been emotionally invested in Bin Laden being killed? Can't wait till those clips get shown on Hamas TV. *facepalm*
Ugh... something just feels weird about taking to the streets and waving flags cheering over Bin Laden getting smoked in a Pakistan compound. Street demonstrations are for the middle east. Hey, it feels fucking great that we got him, and how we got him, but let's make this public spectacle short lived please.
